Floating License Server Installation

The Floating License Server is distributed as a compressed archive, containing optimized native images tailored for various platforms: Windows x64, Linux x64, and Linux ARM. To get the server up and running, simply execute the relevant executable file for your operating system—no complex installation process is required. The download package also contains required configuration files and instructions on how to run the server as a Windows or Linux service.

Upon its initial setup, a default administrative user account is automatically created with the username admin and password admin. For security purposes, you should change these default credentials immediately after your first login. The Floating License Server can be configured using the application.properties file, which is located in the same directory as the executable file.

Once running, the server offers a simple, single-page management interface. This intuitive dashboard provides real-time visibility into your licensing environment, displaying all installed licenses and the number of concurrent users, allowing for effortless oversight of your software's usage.

All administrative functions are conveniently located within the "Actions" menu, found at the top right of the page. To add or remove a license, go to the "License Management" menu. If you need to revoke a user's license usage, navigate to the "User Management" menu. Finally, the "View Server Info" menu item provides the server's unique fingerprint, which is necessary when requesting a new license from your software vendor.
